High Pressure Expansion Joints Furnished to Toyo Engineering
Senior Flexonics Pathway is well known around the world
for design and fabrication of high pressure engineered
expansion joints. The expansion joints required for applications
in the manufacture of certain types of polymer
require extreme design pressures. The expansion joints
Senior Flexonics Pathway built for polymer manufacturing
facilities recently designed and constructed by Toyo
Engineering included many safety features that have
become standard with Senior Flexonics Pathway.
The expansion joints require reinforcing rings to handle
the extreme operating pressures. The Senior Flexonics
Pathway reinforcing ring design is a solid stainless steel
extrusion that results in a very smooth profile in contact
with the bellows. This unique Senior Flexonics Pathway
ring design eliminates stress risers that can reduce bellows fatigue.
The bellows were all Ply Testable construction, another
Senior Flexonics Pathway design standard for critical
service expansion joints. The Ply Testable design provides
a 100% safety back up system for the bellows
element in case the inner ply of the bellows becomes
damaged or corroded.
The expansion joints shipped to job sites in West Java,
Indonesia and Guangzhou, Peoples Republic of China.
